Our Projects
The Organisation of African Geological Surveys (OAGS) was launched on the 2nd of February 2007 as an initiative of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) through the African Mining Partnership (AMP). The objectives of the OAGS are to facilitate cooperation between Geological Surveys across Africa through identifying and implementing geoscience capacity-building projects, promoting informative maps and publications, institutional capacity-building, and transferring skills and technology. We aim to provide African Geological Surveys with a platform that promotes information-sharing gained through past experiences to support the African Mining Vision.
